Database FTP connection

I just talked with GoDaddy.com (my host) and my database is there and it exists. My problem is that I can't connect via Cyberduck to install Indexhibit.

I found a thread in the forum with a similar topic, and I was able to find all my database info. I confirmed on the phone with GoDaddy that all is correct.

Ugh. It's still not working. Tried Fetch too. So close! Anyone that uses GoDaddy as their host, or can provide any help, it is much appreciated. Does it mean anything that my "status" on GoDaddy says: setup?

My host name (database server) is "mydatabasename.db.5587290.hostedresource.com"

Any other godaddy users recognize this? I've been pasting that whole thing in my "server" box on the FTP...followed by my username and password, and still denied.

But...these things are not related per se.

FTP/Cyberduck is merely the way to connect to your host and upload Indexhibit.

You can't do anything until you have uploaded your files.

If you can't get FTP to work you need to ask your webhost - this part of the installation is not a problem with Indexhibit.

FTP info is not in any way related to database connection info.

Thanks for the response Vaska. You're right.

My problem is solely trying to connect via FTP to my GoDaddy database. Hopefully someone also using GoDaddy can see this thread.

But you can get this information from Godaddy directly...it's all in the control panel.

This thread has been closed, thank you.
