Hello everyone,
even after checking on some posts already written, I still do not get how to backup, do a proper archive of my Indexhibit site.
Would someone be kind enough to tell me step by step how to proceed ?
It would be very kind.

All the best.

Hello.

Basically you need to do a file backup, meaning all your indexhibit files, as well as a database backup. This can be done as a MySql export in phpmyadmin. There is an instruction here under the section marked "Backup of Mysql database":

Database backup

This requires access to phpmyadmin, or some other database management tool.
Depending on you hosting service, it may be accessed like this: www.yourdomain.com/phpmyadmin

Regards, Jesper

Jesper, my hero.

Hmm… Does it mean that I do only need to drag and drop thanks to Cyberduck for example, the " ndxz-studio " file on my comp ?

Thank you, again.

Thanks for the nice url for backing up the MYSQL.
The step-by-step looks great.

Just remember to reset permissions on the necessary folders when you try to restore your backup. Downloading the files to your local computer won't preserve the permissions.

Thx for that advice sempervirent.

Can anyone confirm my last question up above ? :/

Backup your index.php file, files folder and ndxz-studio folder. Preservation of permissions depend on the settings of your ftp application. In cyberduck, you can disable modification of permissions during up/download.
