Excuse me. I would like the same, get more space between the items in my menu. I´m kind of new with this, but I checked with chrome and I found that the div of the elements is "index", so in the css I am adding this:

#index ul.subsection { margin: 0 0 2em 0; }

Also I tried in #menu ul li.active { margin: 0 0 2em 0; }

but is not working either.

That's because this is a Legacy version thread.
Use something like #index ul li { margin: 15px 0 30px 0; }
